GGOS as an organization can be considered as an umbrella for the IAG Services and the Commissions. In a sense, these components of IAG can be considered to be the main shareholders of GGOS. The most important services include those for geometry, the gravity field, and the ocean and ice sheets. In addition, there are services for standards. GGOS adds a strong and unique voice to these components that helps to coordinate the IAG work internally and represent is through a unique interface to the outside world. The observational work, data analysis and production of products is, however, preformed by the Services. This is also illustrated in the next slide.
