This page provides access to material made available prior to the GGOS Retreat held in February 2006 in Munich.

Prior to the retreat, all participants were requested/invited to provide input prior to the retreat, both in the draft agenda sent out on January 25, 2006 and in a reminder e-mail sent out on February 5, 2006.

Topic 8: Structure of GGOS and Science Panel

Topic 9: User Requirements for GGOS

A draft position paper is made available here. Also of interest is the information available from INDIGO, namely a report summarizing a User Survey and an table summarizing the result of Services Survey.

A manuscript prepared for the IAG Cairns Proceedings also contains information relevant for the discussions and is available as pdf.

Topic 10: GGOS and IGOS-P

The document prepared for the IGOS-P meeting in May 2005 gives a good overview of the ideas behind the association of GGOS and IGOS-P and is available as the pdf.

A manuscript in press for the IAG Cairns proceedings considers also the GGOS-IGOS-P relations and is available as pdf.

Topic 11: GGOS Contribution to GEOSS

Ruth Neilan had prepared a summary document already for the Third Meeting of the Steering Committee. There the document could not be discussed due to time limitations. It will now be considered during the discussion at the Retreat. The document is available as pdf.

The presentation slides prepared by Zuheir Altamimi address some questions related to GGOS contribution to GEOSS.

Some input on the structure of the future work of GGOS has been provided by Bjorn Engen (pdf).
